The equipment consists of the ASTODIA venipuncture fluoroscope, which is suitable for the localization of both peripheral blood vessels and for the identification of anatomical structures by air or fluid collection.
In his statements Mr. Fourlas stressed that as a Foundation we have promised that we will be close to the children and what the doctors do at the General Hospital is sacred. “I hope this diagnostic machine will be useful in your work and we say a big thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the hospital for the work they do,” he said, assuring that he will be by their side for whatever they need.
On behalf of the Agency, the Operational Director Irene Prokopiou expressed her thanks to Mr. Fourla and the Foundation, who with this donation help even more the work of the doctors at the CICU, which is the first one created in Cyprus and has recently been upgraded. “At the moment we are able to serve five children at the same time from three when we started, and since February 1, when the Department has been operational, we have already served over 3000 children and we hope to contribute to their better care,” he said.
